L'Ormarins Queen's Plate
Event Info

Dress Code
Both Ladies and Gentlemen are required to dress in a manner appropriate to a smart occasion adhering to the dress code BLUE AND WHITE.
Ladies are encouraged to wear hats although this is not compulsory. Gentlemen are requested to dress in a suit or jacket. Casual wear such as t-shirts, jeans, shorts and sports attire are strictly forbidden.
Ladies donned graceful, summery frocks in pearl, alabaster and ivory with large hats to shield their delicate skin from the harsh South African sun, whilst Gentlemen wore lightweight summer suits with ties in shades of sapphire, cornflower, turquoise, navy, sky, cobalt and powder blue.
Effort was rewarded to those ladies who embodied the sophistication of the L'Ormarins Queen's Plate by a panel of judges including singer, Lindiwe Suttle and designers Malcom Kluk & Christiaan Gabriel du Toit who handed out rosettes throughout the day. The "Best Dressed" award was won by Nikki Stegmann for her choice of a simple yet stunning white strapless dress and floaty summer hat, whilst The "Best Hat" award went to Elzette Gustavsson.
